American actor Danny Burstein is a seven-time Tony Award nominee who rose to fame for his work on the Broadway stage.

Danny was born on 16 June 1964 in Mt. Kisco, New York, and was raised in New York City. His parents separated when he was two months. Danny's mother, Virginia, is a painter, whereas his step-father, Harvey Burstein, is a Greek philosophy professor.

Burstein completed his High School of the Performing Arts and Queens College in New York City. He obtained an MFA in Acting from the University of California, San Diego, in 1990.

Burstein's first acting job was in The Music Man's Chorus at The Muny in St. Louis during college.
