It has been ages since we last saw Jinbe in the official One Piece manga chapter. His last appearance was on Chapter 900 that got released two years ago on 2 April 2018. Interestingly, the 2nd of April marks a remarkable day for Jinbe, as that is his birthday.
Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, surely likes to introduce characters with a zestful fashion. And now, after two years, on the occasion of his birthday, Oda is finally introducing Jinbe to us with some big news.
One Piece: Jinbe Joins Straw Hats Pirates As The Tenth Member
For those who are not updated with the latest manga of One Piece series, sorry for the spoilers, but your dream of seeing Jinbe as the tenth member of Straw Hats is finally fulfilled.
Yes, Eiichiro Oda officially introduced the blue whale shark fish-man as "Straw Hat" Helmsman Knight of the Sea Jinbe in Chapter 976. With that, the 44-year-old Jinbe became the ninth member to sail with Mugiwara captain, Monkey D. Luffy.
Jinbe made his first appearance as a Schichibukai during the Impel Down Arc in Chapter 528, talking with Luffy's sworn late-brother, Portgas D. Ace. During the Marineford Arc, he dropped the title of Schichibukai teaming up with Luffy to save Ace from his execution. After Sakazuki, formerly known as Akainu, killed Ace, it was Jinbe who did not let Luffy break up his soul.
After the time skip, Jinbe met Luffy at the Fisman Island Arc and team up with him to save the Ryugu Kingdom and the Neptune Royal Family against the dark fate of New Fish-Man Pirates. It was then Luffy who told Jinbe to join Straw Hats, but the fisherman promised he would return after finishing his unfinished business.

During the Whole Cake Island Arc, it was revealed that Jinbe had unfinished business with one of the current Yonko, Big Mom. He had formed an alliance with the Yonko to protect Fish-Man Island after the sad death of Whitebeard Pirates, Edward Newgate. After Jinbe leaves Big Mom, his fate was uncertain that led the several theories of the fisherman's death.
But now, Jinbe is back in action as the official Helmsman of Straw Hats in the Wano Country Arc. He will help Luffy fight against the Beast Pirates and will serve the Straw Hats captain to fulfill his dream of becoming the Pirate King.
On the other hand, Franky and Sanji can take some rest from helming the ship and go back to their usual business. Finally, Sanji gets more free time teasing to Nami-Swann and Robin-Chan, whereas Franky can fill the colas in Sunny Go in his Super Robot fashion.
Current Bounty Of "Straw Hat" Helmsman Knight of the Sea Jinbe And The Straw Hat Pirates
It was during Chapter 528 when Jinbe's first bounty was introduced with 250,000,000 Belly. Then in Chapter 622, The Boss of the Sea was revealed to have a bounty of 76,000,000 Belly in his head as a member of The Sun Pirates.
After Jinbe resigned from Schichibukai, his bounty was increased to 438,000,000 Belly, which is his current bounty. But now, as an official member of Straw Hats pirate, his bounty could rise with the introduction of his official wanted poster.
