Toke Makinwa's Past Trauma Made It Difficult To Find Her Love

The Nigerian media personality star Toke Makinwa took to her Instagram story to express her gratitude to God for seeing her through the worst and saving her for the best. She wrote, "I'm just so thankful that God did not give up on me even when my past trauma made me difficult to love, he saw through my broken still, I shudder to think of where I'll be if God left me."

Toke then posted another story where she wrote, "He saved the best for last." Toke had also gotten emotional over Kemi Adetiba's surprise marriage proposal posts, and she commented that Kemi's love story encouraged her and deeply inspired her. She wrote that she wanted to thank her for sharing that part of her life with her and concluded by saying that they had got a wedding to plan now.

Toke Makinwa had revealed her new boyfriend's information via Instagram last year. She posted photos of his hand and leg but never revealed his face teasing her followers. However, she shared a full photo of him with her in a mirror reflection snap back in January 2021 and captioned the post, "TM meets TM @tokemakinwa."

Her new beau is named to be Tuoyo as his Instagram username is @justtuoyo. He is said to be an Itsekiri fitness expert and businessman. He is known to be a London-based boyfriend.

Toke also flirted with her boyfriend on Instagram as she asked him to come and walk with her commenting on a photo of him with his dog last year. Then he replied jokingly, saying that he would lead her astray if he was to walk with her. Many fans saw their interaction positively and gushed over their sweet love.

Fans even wished for them to settle down permanently and supported them as they looked really good together.

Toke was in a relationship with Seyi Kure, and she reacted in an unusual manner when the news of his marriage with his pregnant girlfriend came out back in 2018. She tweeted, "So what should I do now, ehn? Roll over and die??? Scream woe is me, the poor lonely girl???"

Toke Makinwa studied at the Federal Government Girls' College, Pyo State, and graduated with an English and literature degree from the University of Lagos. She started her career by co-hosting The Morning Drive show on 93.7 FM in 2010 and later launched her late-night talk show, Rhythms of the Night. She said that the product was targeted for every color and woman who struggled with dark spots, melasma, uneven skin tone, and for the perfect shade for their skin. 

Toke Makinwa admitted having undergone fibroid surgery in 2018 and talked about the double standard of accepting technological advancements while medical advancements were looked down on.
