Mike Richards In Talk To Become Permanent Host Of Jeopardy!

The game show Jeopardy! lost its previous host, Alex Trebek, to cancer last November, and since, the show has been filling in the void position with different guest hosts until getting a permanent one for it.

While a few weeks back, Mike Richards, an executive producer from the show, took under the wings as one of those guest hosts in Jeopardy!, he seemingly received well feedbacks from the viewers.

Following this, Mike joined in the candidates' list with Ken Jennings, George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, Aaron Rodgers, Mayim Bialik, and others for being the front-runner on the show.

And the news also made it to the headlines of him being in the final part of the negotiations for featuring himself as the front-runner and permanent host for the show, succeeding after Alex Trebek.

Previously, in February 2021, Sony Pictures Television commented about Mike taking over as a host for the show with Variety, saying that there were “several” other potential candidates” but refused to detail it any further. But now, they are said to be in an “advanced negotiations” with Mike Richards to take over the role as host of the show.
